Who We Are
A Place for Young Men to Grow
DeMolay is an organization for young men between the ages of 12 and 21. It was founded in 1919 in Kansas City, Missouri, and has helped generations of young men become leaders of outstanding character.
With thousands of members worldwide, the approach is simple: give young men the tools to lead, and the guidance to succeed. Members take ownership of their DeMolay experience. They generate ideas, plan events, coordinate logistics, and carry out their plans, all under the mentorship of trained adult advisors selected from the local community. Murray Masonic DeMolay is sponsored by Murray Lodge No. 105.

DeMolay would not be over one hundred years old without plenty of fun. Chapter members plan and host the events they want to do, from paintball to community service.

Filial Love
DeMolay members cherish their parents and hold family teachings close to their hearts, repaying the love and care of their parents through kindness and civility.
Reverence for Sacred Things
An individual's religious beliefs are their own. Members are encouraged to carry out their teachings while respecting the views of others, no matter how different.
Courtesy
A DeMolay is kind and courteous toward others, not only in public but also at home and among friends.
Comradeship
Comradeship binds members together so they may build a lifelong brotherhood of loyalty and trust.
Fidelity
Fidelity means being faithful and loyal to all of our obligations in life. By being faithful, members earn the respect and trust of everyone they meet.
Cleanness
Cleanness extends beyond physical hygiene. It means being purposeful with words, careful with actions, and respectful in thought.
Patriotism
DeMolay encourages each member to be patriotic toward his country and mindful of those who serve to protect it, through service or by being an exemplary citizen.
Membership
Who Can Join
Young men between the ages of 12 and 21 are welcome to apply for membership. Members come from many backgrounds and faiths. DeMolay does not replace a young man's family or faith; it supports and strengthens them.
No family connection to Freemasonry is required. Many members join because a friend invited them or because they want to be part of something positive and active. Every member belongs to a local Chapter close to where they live.
